Keema Matar Recipe

Today I am going to share with you how I make traditional keema matar which is not just easy but also very delicious and mouth watering.

Keema Matar Ingredients;

chicken mince 400 g,

Matar (green peas) 300 g,

2 small onion (sliced),

2 medium tomatoes (diced),

2 tbsp ginger garlic paste,

1 bay leave,

2 small cinnamon sticks,

5 cloves,

1 black cardamom,

1 green cardamom,

1 tsp salt,

1 tsp red chili powder,

1/2 tsp turmeric powder,

1 tsp coriander powder,

1/2 tsp chili flakes,

1/2 tsp cumin powder,

1/4 tsp all spice,

1 tsp dried fenugreek

1/2 cup oil

1. In a hot pan add oil then add onions and fry them until translucent then add all the dried spices along with ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant, then add chicken mince and cook it for 5 minutes until it turns white then add all the powder spices except fenugreek, all spice and cumin powder and cover for 10 minutes with half cup of water.

2. Now after 10 minutes, remove the lid and saute the mixture for 3 minutes then add green peas and saute for 2 minutes then add 1 cup of water and cook covered for 10 to 15 minutes on medium to low flame.

3. Now remove the lid, kheema matar is almost ready, now add the remaining spices and add garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy.
